Together, we promote a culture of sustainability through responsible resource management, staff wellbeing, community engagement and effective waste management.
- Identify and plan suitable sustainability activities that can be implemented at the Centre.
- Participate in sustainability-related training and programmes organised by the university.
- Develop strategies for the collection, management and preparation of sustainability data.
Staff & Community Engagement
- Implement sustainability campaigns covering areas such as waste, energy and water conservation.
- Design posters and promotional materials to increase awareness of sustainability initiatives.
Health & Safety
- Ensure that office spaces and surrounding areas are kept clean, safe and well maintained.
- Ensure clinical waste and chemicals are handled, stored and disposed of according to established procedures.
- Promote the use of safe and ergonomic equipment while ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
Resource Efficiency
- Monitor energy consumption throughout the office and encourage energy-saving practices.
- Promote responsible and efficient water consumption.
- Encourage more efficient workplace practices.
- Ensure the office complies with relevant regulations and practices relating to energy efficiency and sustainable energy use.
Waste Management & Recycling
- Monitor waste management and waste segregation practices within the workplace.
- Promote the 3R principles — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle — among staff.
- Ensure recycling bins are used correctly and placed at appropriate locations.
- Encourage the reduction of single-use materials and plastic consumption.
- Coordinate recycling collection activities and sustainability programmes related to waste management.
